Royal Air Squadron
A group of friends with a common interest in aviation
The Royal Air Squadron is a unique aviation organisation – both in the United Kingdom and internationally – characterised by its members, activities, ambassadorial roles, adventure, professionalism, charitable work with young people, support for the armed services and support for a wide range of aviation activity.
Founded on 1 February 1966 as the Air Squadron, in 2016 the association was granted the right to use the title ‘Royal’ in recognition of its remarkable achievements and activities. The Air Squadron was honoured to become the Royal Air Squadron in its 50th anniversary year.
